Alumni City Communities
Engaging top business school undergraduate alumni across America who are committed to the high ideals of business, the mutual enrichment of one another, and the generations of undergraduate business students to follow.
The Business Scholars Institute fosters connections with alumni from undergraduate business schools through the City Communities Program. City Communities consist of outstanding graduates from business schools across the United States, forming a national network of individuals aspiring to be the leaders of tomorrow.
These communities provide members with a vibrant social network of fellow alumni who support one another throughout the important transitions, phases, and moments during the formative years after college and beyond.
City Communities also emphasize impact and the importance of community members serving, guiding, and shaping the next generation of business leaders through mentorship with current undergraduate business school students.
Students must apply to become a member of the BSI City Communities program.

Admissions & Application Process
All applicants will be reviewed holistically, in the spirit of the BSI’s concern for “the whole person.” We are looking for outstanding people with personal/professional promise and a record of experiences and accomplishments that serve as evidence. While there are no limits on the number of spots in a City Community, the bar for admission is high. Not all applicants who apply will be accepted, but they will be able to apply in future admissions cycles.
In traditional application cycles, applicants must:
- have graduated from a 4-year institution with either a major or minor from an undergraduate business school.
- have not yet attained formal middle management positions in their careers.
For the 2024 admission cycle, applicants must:
- have graduated or anticipate to graduate between the years of 2015 – 2024.*
*Exceptions will be made case-by-case for applicants who, due to unusual career acceleration, entrepreneurial endeavors, or other unique circumstances, fall outside the bounds of eligibility described above.
